Haunt an Old Painting With Us This October 👻🎨
Have an old landscape painting hanging around your house that could use a few ghosts?
Or maybe a perfectly innocent thrift-store painting that would look significantly better with a pumpkin, a bat, or something lurking suspiciously in the background?
Bring it to The Spot: After Hours — Haunted Painting Night!
On Saturday, October 24 from 6:00–9:00 PM, we’re opening The Teen Spot for a fun night just for the grown-ups.
What is Haunted Painting?
The idea is simple: start with an old painting and give it a spooky new life.
You might add tiny ghosts floating through a peaceful landscape, pumpkins along a country road, bats in the sky, a haunted house in the distance—or whatever else you think your painting has been missing all these years.
There’s no right way to do it, and you definitely do not need to be an artist.
Bring a favorite old painting from home, hit a thrift store and find one that speaks to you, or purchase one of ours when you arrive. Then we’ll sit down, break out the paint, and haunt them together.
Your $20 Night Out
Admission is just $20 per person.
We’ll have painting supplies available, refreshments, music, door prizes, and a 50/50 drawing.
Come with friends, make it a date night, bring your sister, your mom, your coworkers—or come by yourself and meet some new people.
Mostly, come prepared to have fun. This is not serious art class. If your ghost comes out looking like a potato in a bedsheet, we consider that a success.
Have Fun & Support The Teen Spot
The best part is that your night out also helps support something pretty important.
Proceeds from Haunted Painting Night benefit The Teen After-School Program at The Spot, helping us continue providing local students in grades 6–12 with a free place to spend their afternoons, eat, learn, participate in programming, spend time with friends, and simply have a safe place to be teenagers.
So come make something ridiculous, creepy, cute—or surprisingly beautiful—and help us support our teens while you're at it.
